  Employees were very friendly and helpful. The young man who checked us in spent lots of time explaining our transportation options once I told him our plans for the day.   Great place. This is old building with very high ceiling and a lot of air, with beautiful old (18th century original or looking original) style decor on walls and ceiling. The porch has two big stairs and elevator is typical for this old buildings - with manual doors and small metal cage. As for the room it was clean, bed was - It's rather a budget one, but the location is very good, very close not only to Plaza Catalunya but also to Parc de la Cuitadella. A very interesting atmosphere of an old house, with once rather luxurious wooden decorations, now a little bit aging, but still alluring. The rooms are small but clean. A word of advice: go for a "superior room" with the balcony. It's an essential feature for a beautiful late night session after you have enjoyed full day in the city.
