It doesn't look like much at first, but the venue has actually been a pleasant surprise. Staff seemed a little uncertain, but the room exceeded expectations. Location of the hotel was perfect, I was able to get to every place I wanted to see by foot (La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Plaza de Toros, Cathedral, beach, ...). Hotel room was very nice equiped and clean. Stuff speaks very well english and is prepared do give you advice anytime.

Very warm welcome from Carlos which continued throughout our stay-couldnt have been more helpful.
Room was a small Eco only but perfect for our two night stay as not needing a room to spend time in other than as a base.
Wonderful bed and best sleep I've had for ages in hotel room (travel a lot with work).
Great large shower- rain effect and seperate hand held.
Lovely touch of free tea and coffee available for guests and a light breakfast provided (not mentioned when booking).

Was looking for a last minute booking for weekend trip to Barcelona & chose L' Antic Espai due to reviews. Happily I can only agree & add to the positive vibe - it was a perfect little room (little is true but it was ample), brilliant location, amazing breakfast and fantastic staff, Danny in particular living up to his online reputation. Our trip would not have been as blessed without his knowledge & help. Highly recommended

We can recommend this hostel as a really nice place for young people. The price is really atractive, we haven't found anything cheaper in the city centre. Also the location is perfect, near to the metro station. The owner is very nice and helpfull, although she doesnt know english but it never was a problem to understand each other. The room and o

Perfect location, 5 mins from the Rambla. The rooms are big and nice. Great value for money.
There is a small kitchen and a living room with TV. I didn't use those facilities but they looked good. The wifi connection is terrible.

It is a gorgeous unique hotel right in the center of Barcelona. Best choice for best price. Very friendly and helpfull staff and owner. - It's a beautiful place and, if you like antiques, is the perfect place to stay in Barcelona! The terrace is very nice, with flowers, plants and birds! The woman that works there, Yolanda, was really friendly. Everything was clean, and they actually made our beds every morning. It's not really a hostel, just a home where they rent rooms, so our was really big and with a nice balcony. We where allowed to leave our suitcases in the room and take the keys after the check out until we had to catch the plane. Everything was perfect.

Terrific location for first visit to Barcelona - walked everywhere. Excellent building with elevator. Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. -
I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day. It made it feel as though you were staying in a home.
