The room was cleaned every day and the receptionists and cleaners were friendly. - Fantastic hotel in a great location in a quiet street in the old town.   We loved the location and the extra space. Been travelling for a long time and enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. There is a better supermarket than those named by the apartment next to the #11 red bus stop (ask at the tourist information). BEST OF ALL... we had a problem with two broken lights and toaster.   Excellent location in the middle of old town. Short walk to Cathedral and Palace Alcazar. Next to tapas bars. Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.

The man in reception took out maps, bus timetables etc. and worked out how to get there for us and which bus to take. The woman in the morning was equally as helpful in recommending a good place for breakfast.
