Amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and continental option, along with the classic cooked option. Recommend the scrambled eggs. We had the premium room and it was very tastefully furnished, very spacey and comfortable. Nice pool area with honesty bar and wood burner - perfect to sit in front of on a chilly evening with a bottle of wine. The owner Tim is very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay. We were in the outside cottage - fairly basic but absolutely adequate. Very bright with white everywhere, giving the place an opportunity to display how spotlessly clean everything was. The owner was the larger than life Tim, a real character. Breakfast was great. The location was superb being only a few minutes drive to Thesen island waterfront or just take a stroll around leisure island. It was idyllic. Tim even had my car washed. "It goes better when its clean"

Andre & Laurette are great host they are great on local information ie restaurants and bars (dont forget a visit to Bloo)
The location, views from the 2 bed loft apartment at 1st floor balcony out the bay is a must. -

The owners are a very friendly and welcoming English couple. They are extremely helpful. the room are comfortable and very clean. The DVD collection is a nice bonus. - made to feel very welcome - the owners kindly booked golf for us, and also lent us DVDs - so really wanted to make our stay good for us

The place is really amazing! It feels like in living in a jungle. All huts are uniquely designed and the staff is just great. They help you with everything you want and were really helpful and friendly. Their welcoming of us as a family (We travelled with two kids and my parents) was honest and open hearted. Great place to stay with fantastic views of the lagoon and area. The owners are great and full of knowledge of the area and suggestions for things to do. If you want a quiet place to relax above the town then this place is perfect. Also, if you want to play golf they can help you out with some great deals as well.

The atmosphere was very relaxed, friendly and clean great location Thanks you very much for the pleasant stay. We wished we could stay longer. Just a short walk to the waterfront. Self service complimentary breakfast. secure parking if needed. We were made to feel at home by the owners. We will go back to Knysna just to stay there. -

Everything. Being in the travel industry, I have been to many guest houses, and this one by far is my favourite. Very clean, very comfy, but mostly, very friendly. I will only come back to Herons guest house in the future! -

We were delighted with our room at Knysna Country House, and agreed that it was our favourite Guest House during our two week trip to SA. The room we has was superb (though air con would have been even better!), and the owners had thought of everything. I could not recommend this more strongly if you are staying in Knysna (providing you have a car

Breakfast was very good, it would be nice though for you to be able to choose how you want your eggs done, two days in a row of scrambled eggs.
Lovely Pool and the family room we had was fantastic worked very well for all of us.
Also they where fantastic in giving our daughter and her husband the honeymoon suite. Which was wonderful.
