Perfect location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms with all facilities, nice wifi connection, good value for money and a great bonus for girls is l'occitane mini set in the bathroom :). Thank you guys for a kindness waiting us for a while after check-in time. Btw we saw a couple who were used to stay in Ljubljana for 14 hours more due to their flight has been delayed. And the hotel staff kindly helped them to store all their luggage, take a taxi and even load it into the ca. όλα τα σχόλια »
The building is really perfectly located, easy to find and very close to everything - city center, the clubs area Metelkova, Tivoli Park, the castle...
Everything looks brand new and very clean, comfy, with all amenities needed for a pleasant stay.
Staff is friendly, we had smooth check-in/out and payment, didn't need assistance out of the reception hours so it's fine that it is not open 24/7.
I was hesitating a lot before making this booking but I think that finally that was the best choice i.
The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. The rooms and corridors were impeccably clean. There was a water boiler for tea or coffee (be sure to bring your own tea bags). It's located in the center of the city, 2 minutes to the main square and riverfront, but still quiet and restful. No parking on street, but a parking lot just one block away with parking attendant on site, very reasonable for overnight. We were very happy with this place.
The location was perfect- well within walking distance to everything. The room was well appointed (kitchenette, comfortable bed, well designed space use, calm colors, and best of all - quiet). Choosing apartments over hotel rooms has been something we've been doing for a few years...you'll get better locations and the chance to get a little more 'locale'. Overall, a great experience in a great city which is poised to be the 'next Prague' .
Fabulous room in a great location, literally within the historic centre. I chose Ginger because I preferred on this occasion to eat and drink elsewhere, so many restaurants and bars on the river, no need for an in house. You can walk to the train and bus station, the airport is 20 minutes in a cab. The staff were really lovely and helpful. It was spotless and well designed. Absolutely perfect. Nothing not to like!.
Really good location just a couple of minutes walk from the triple
bridges. These rooms are above shops, so there is just a little
reception to check in/out and for information but no other
facilities. We liked this - straight to our room with no foyer, etc. It
felt very private. Nice size bedroom with huge wardrobe & full size
fridge. Very clean and the best thing is the location.
The location was perfect, lots of sites right nearby. Staff were polite and friendly. Although the room was rather small, it was functional, comfortable and definitely right for the price. I was slightly worried about noise from the hostel a floor above but never heard any loud noise. The L'occitane toiletries were lovely.
We stayed in two different rooms at two ends of our Slovenia trip. Both rooms were beautiful, comfortable, clean, and had great bathrooms. One was an economy room and I would recommend springing for the extra 10 Euro for the larger room if you can as the economy room was quite small. Best low cost place that we stayed.
Room was very clean with nice decor. Location is great, between the bus station and town centre and close to each. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. The room overlooked a busy street but good double glazing meant it was not noisy. Big TV screen with good selection of channels.
Comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. And the location. Wow. Couldn't be better. You're two blocks off the main square. And when we had to check out and had 4 hours before our train they let us keep our bags with them until we had to go. Very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
The rooms were beautiful and very close to Ljubljana center. Staff super helpful suggesting cafes and general info. This is not a hotel but a group of rooms on the 2nd level of a building across from a larger hotel. Reception is on one floor sbove. Very convenient. Big screen TV.
We had Room 7, which had a kitchenette, and was a bit more spacious than other rooms. Modern, clean, and friendly/helpful/enthusiastic staff. 10 min walk from the train station, opposite the Grand Union Hotel in a quiet street, only a few steps away from the beautiful old town.
Everything was so great for a small price. Rooms were spacious, clean, modern and staff were friendly. Just everything you need, at a food price without any catch. As it was a busy week in Ljubljana we have stayed in 3 hotels and it was the cheapest and the best.
It was right in the center, less than a minute from the main square, the room was really nicely furnished, everything new, very comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful and we liked it so much that we already plan going back next year but staying longer.
Very good location 3 minutes of walk from the city center. All the major to-see things within a reasonable distance. Very nice place with a beautiful room, nice bathroom and gigantic TV screen! The ladies at the reception were also very kind & helpful.
Excellent location- just a 5 minute walk into the old town. Very
functional bathroom with good shower. Soundproof windows that shut out
any street noise, with external, easy to operate shutters that kept out
the light. Very clean and newly renovated.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom worked perfectly and there was always warm water. The location, between the train and bus stations and the old city, was wonderful.

Nice room, comfortable bed, new bathroom, clean and quiet. Free wifi was fast and easily accessed. Location was perfect and right in the city centre. Close to the Tivoli park which was perfect for running, both morning and evening.
The hotel was within walking distance from the train/bus station and a good enough distance from the center of town that it didn't feel far or unsafe to walk home at night; the rooms were brand new, clean and spacious.
Ginger Rooms is located only a block from the main square. We were able to park our rental car on the street nearby. The rooms are new and nicely decorated. Spacious bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette.

The heating was not working at some moments (probably it is centrally regulated), we were not cold but it would have been good if we were given the remote for the AC just in case ;).
We paid a premium rate as we didn't know Eurobasket was on when we
booked. We paid almost 100 e a night which is a lot with no breakfast
and no general hotel facilities, just your room.

Parking may be a problem. We parked on the street outside Ginger Rooms
to check in but were advised not to leave our car there. Receptionist
pointed out where the nearest car parks were (very expensive for a 24
hour stay) but also told us about the bus/train station car park
which was only 7 euros a day. It was a 15-20 minute walk away but easy
to find and loads of space. Pick up a ticket as you enter car park then
pay cash into a machine when you leave.
Constant traffic noise from the main street despite double-glazed windows.
Electric kettle was provided but we had not brought our own teabags!
There is no lift in the building and one has climb up the stairs to get to Ginger Rooms although, this wasn't a problem for us.
There was no kettle to make coffee or tea, a small lack which could be easily corrected.

The whole stay had to be paid in advance and there was no possibility for cancellation.
There is no elevator and you have to walk up two long flights of steps to arrive at the lobby and main floor.
parking was at first a little difficult to find but the staff helped us find good, safe, cheap overnight parking a few hundred meters from the hotel.

My only wish would be for an elavator to get luggage up.
Parking near hotel is almost impossible. You have to use some of the municipal parking spots and pay per hour. There is some noise from the street, especially in the morning.

I booked with a debit card before I knew Europeans only use cards with chips, and the payment went through right away. Then when we arrived, they couldn't find the pre-authorization voucher, so I paid again. They seem helpful and I expect to be able to clear the matter up now that I am home.

No parking, and the tip of a parking garage was not useful (€40 a day). At daytime we parked at Tivoli (€0,60 per hour) and during the night in the street next to our hotel (free from 18:00-8:00).

The room was tiny, just enough room for the double bed and not much more - but you expect that at budget prices.
parking lots in the neighboorhood are small. The entrance doesn't look like one from a nice hotel and isn't really visible form the street, lot's of stairs before you get in your room.
Wifi does not work! They do not have an elevator, we had to go up two
flights of stairs with our luggage. They do not have a parking area and
you have to use public parking at a charge. Room was tiny. We could not
walk around and had to move our suitcases every time we wanted to get to
the bathroom.
There was no parking at the hotel, but i found a parking place right on the next street.
