A hotel within a country club
The well maintained Residence is located on the third floor of a country club in town, and comprises of 26 rooms and 2 suites, facing either the Padang (cricket lawn) or the city. The swimming pool which is located at the corner of the basement, which feels like a pond within a cave.
Cleanliness did not disappoint.

The hotel is in a great location in the colonial district kitty corner
to Raffles Hotel, walking distance to Singapore Flyer, subway, Hop On
Hop Off Bus, countless shopping centres and restaurants, the river and
boat quay, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and much more. There was a fair bit of
traffic noise as our room overlooked the front road...mainly seemed like
background type noise and didn't disturb our sleep. Somewhat odd
room. The hotel rooms are on the third floor, upper level of the club.

The fact that we got upgraded, the shuttle bus service and the breakfast was really good. Easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go from there. new hotel and service staff are helpful and nice. have a balcony on the 3rd floor as designated smoking area so we don't need to go out on the street in the middle of the night. -

Room is very small, that's true, but it's Singapore, that's how it is here. I've slept before in bigger, more expensive hotels here, and it was not worth it. The deluxe room with a window though not big had everything for guest’s convenience: a safe, fridge, electric kettle and a TV. In spite of the repair works in the hotel the room was quite clean. If I need to stay again in Singapore on my money, I will quite probably choose the same hotel. The breakfast was not something special, but filling.

The room is spacious for the price, and includes breakfast and wifi access. I have 1 family room, and 1 double room, both are comfortable for 3 and 2 people, not tight at all. I was asking for an adress, a young Singaporian Lady at the front desk googled the adress and handed me a printed map of how to get there from the hotel!
