Staff was so nice,attentive and helpful.
Check in and out was fast and easy, no waitings. No deposits at check in. Room (Mallorca) was very nice, cute and comfy. The hotel is a splendid old house in a very quiet area. Our room was very large and comfortable.
The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent as was the restaurant in the evenings.
However, the best feature of the hotel was the staff - friendly, helpful, and with fluent English. My wife found the bed a little too soft for her back - housekeeping quickly set up a mattress on the floor which solved the problem.
In short - highly recommended.

It is an excellent boutique hotel in a very good location. Everything is close- the Hermitage, Nevsky prospect, the Dome etc. Staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and polite. I'd like to commend Vasili,- an exceptionally professional receptionist. The hotel is full of character, decorated with taste which becomes the old building in the grand part of St. Petersburg. Very clean, has around the clock self-service stand of coffee and tea in the lobby, good internet connection.

All the stuffs are very friendly and made my trip enjoyable.If you have any question such as visa voucher and trasportation from the airport(taxi), they give you the answer by email right away. It was very helpful. The room is big enough for one person and well cleaned, and free wi-fi is good, too! The location is perfect. I could walk to many tourist spots, especially the Church of the Savior on Blood is 2-3 mins on foot from the hotel.

To reach the hotel from Nevsky Prospekt (one of St Petersburg's major shopping streets), you go from one courtyard into a second - the hotel is therefore separated from the street, eliminating street and traffic noise. You enter the building and go up one flight of stairs (there is also a lift) which look a little tired before you reach the small hotel, which is almost luxurious by comparison. The rooms are excellent - spacious and quiet altough facing the Nevsky Prospekt. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The location is perfect - the Tube station is very close to the hotel, a big shopping centre Stokmann is withing 5min walk and there is a great restaurant ont he last floor - Restaurant Moskva.
