They helped us tips to get around and recommended a food festival exhibition to visit just nearby which was great, since the time we checked in it was late and most of the places were about to close. The tram was only 3 stops away f - Large room (a double) with modern Scandinavian furniture. New and stylish bath room. Great view at the food market across the street (note that you might end up looking at the apartment block on the opposite side of the building). Nice breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs (included in room price) where I also had a very favorably priced (for Oslo standards) meal at night. Probably the best place I've stayed in Oslo. Price-quality ratio is excellent!

  Good central location, easy to walk to all attractions from the hotel. The rooms were basic and small but clean and the bed was comfortable. For the price in Oslo it was excellent value for money. WIFI was fast. Our room was so clean and comfortable 638. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and then went to Porsgrunn. Unfortunately we didn't book for our return stay and had to book into a different hotel :( as Smart Hotel was fully booked. Loved everything about it. Thanks for a wonderful stay - so friendly and welcoming, Will be back! xx

  Clean, quiet, comfy beds, good wifi. The kitchen utensils are not for rental, you just leave a deposit and they give you the money back. I recommend bringing own sheets and towels to save money, because they give you blankets anyway. Despite what I read in some of these comments, there are soap dispensers in the shower and sink.   In an expensive city like OSLO this is the best place to stay. The cleanliness of the hostel was by far the best i have seen. Even better than the 5 star hotels. Clean linen and clean facilities. There is a huge hall downstairs where drinking tea and making friends. I recommend this hostel! Ps: very close to the hostel there's a good restaurant, Nilsen Spiseri, and with the card of the hostal, at the dinner, you have a 10% discount.

The location was within walking distance to Oslo's newOpera House as well as the train/bus station.
