We had a large comfortable room which was very clean and well equipped with fridge, iron and toiletries etc.
The desk manager was very helpful, the location is perfect for walks along / around the lake, and the high street is a ten minute stroll, with restaurants and supermarket etc.
Plenty of off road parking and good value all around. -

Superb location ! The room was extremely pleasant, with two armchairs beside the window, making for a great relaxing time, as the view out into the garden was beautiful. Close to the lake and tourist information. Staff were very friendly but I wish that they had told us we had to order breakfast by 6pm the night before. By the time we saw the notice it was too late to order and the staff had left for the day. -

The room was serviced everyday even include washing used dishes and kitchen utensils. I found other motels which charge much higher in Queenstown do not provide such service

We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist, who showed us to our room and gave us two freshly baked muffins, lovely. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The next morning I asked where I could book a particular trip to Milford Sound - the receptionist sorted it all out for me and booked the cruise.
The laundry facilities were also very handy and, again, spotless.

We had a 3 bedroom cottage which was very nice and comfortable. We had a log fire in the lounge room, a big kitchen/dining room, laundry with waching machine and dryer and 3 good sized bedrooms. It was nice to be able to do washing without having to go find somewhere to change money into dollar coins, we were all able to have clean and dry clothes

Ray and Leonie run a beautiful set of cottages on a property attached to their house in Te Anau. The cottage we rented was clean, and fully furnished with a stovetop, microwave, and dishes for four. Ray also runs bus tours to local attractions, including Milford Sound. We had our own car, and didn't take him up on his offer for a tour, but we never felt pressured to do so. In two weeks visiting New Zealand, this was our favorite place to stay!

This was our best stay in NZ. The lady at the reception ( Elina) is so helpful. She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available.

Knowledgable, responsive and friendly staff.
Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites.
Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.

The Manager is a smiling font of knowledge - best value-for-money tours, best place to eat, even Dad-jokes. We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and our unit was very adequate. Good sized ensuite, lots of hot water, clean spacious rooms and well located in a quiet street with a nice walk to the main street.
