  My host was very nice! The place was nice and comfortable. It's like a home away from home. It was quiet except for the church bells ringing nearby but given all the possible noise somewhere else, I'll take the church bells anytime! Also serves as an alarm clock for 8am. If the other occupants are rowdy the host will tell them to be quiet.

  There were so many thoughtful touches in our room. We had a choice of coffees in our room, cookies, water, and a light breakfast if we wanted to eat there.   It's a really a great place to stay at in Amsterdam. All that is said about the apartment and Guido the landlord is true. We had a fantastic time here, the center is really just 10-15 mins of walk, the place is silent and has a nice view on the Amstel river. I can recommend this place for everyone - Really nice to go "home",after a day of walking and sight seeing, and relax with a nice bath(huge clean tub)and a cup of herbal tea. We also saved money buying a muffin the night before and have our coffee and muffin in the am. before going out. The location is very convenient to all canal boat stops, on a quiet street in a pleasant neighborhood.

  We booked expecting a room in a guest house and were stunned to find a beautifully decorated and comfortabe room overlookingt the Amstel river. In addition we also had exclusive use of the whole floor leading tou own coffee ad tea making machine and shower and changing room. Really freindly welcome by Ken.
