Kimchee Dongdaemun Guesthouse provides cosy rooms in downtown Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace and shopping at Dongdaemun. It features a rooftop terrace and free Wi-Fi access.
Kimchee Dongdaemun Guesthouse is a 3-minute walk from Jongno5ga Station (Line 1) and the Airport Bus Stop (Bus 6002). It is a 5-minute walk from Cheonggyecheon Stream, Jongmyo Royal Shrine and KwangJang Market.
Simply furnished, all rooms are fitted with air conditioning. Bathrooms are either private or shared, and come with 24-hour hot-water showers. Personal lockers and ironing facilities are also available.
Guests can watch TV and movies in the common living room, arrange day trips at the tour desk, or check e-mails at the computer corner. There is no curfew at this guesthouse.
Korean and international restaurants, as well as pubs and karaoke clubs, are within a 10-minute walk from the guesthouse.

- The staffs are really helpful.
- Thomas is very helpful to us. He can speak English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
- He also helped us carried our luggages (4 luggages) to the room on the fourth floor.
- When we came back really late to the dorm and we were very hungry, he helped us heat up our food even when it was past his working hours (12am plus).
- On our last day when we were heading to the airport bus stop, Thomas carried our luggages down and helped to carry them to the bus stop. He . όλα τα σχόλια »
The super friendly staff that makes all the difference!!! Especially in Seoul where English is not widely used. The manager, Thomas, really went all out to help us (4 girls) during our stay, like helping us to carry luggages, giving us clear directions, catching cab for us, etc etc etc, and believe us that those make all the difference experince in Seoul.
Also the location is superb as it's very close to subway station, accessible to most of locations we need to go.
The staff there are very nice. We have a lot of questions, but they are all very patiently and enthusiastically to help us. So we left a very deep impression on Seoul and the Kimchee Dongdaemun Guesthouse. The
room is very clean and sweet, and the location is very convenience. It's only cost 3 mins by walk to the nearest subway station. Also it's need 10 mins walk to the famous Dongdaemun shopping area. Thanks again for the manager Thomas, also Rose and Eva!.
Rose and Thomas are very attentive, genuine and welcoming hosts. I ahve stayed in ca 25 countries in many more Hostels, Guesthouses or Hotels from expensive to supercheap. This was by far one of the most relaxing and pleasant stay I ever had. They know hoe to run a Guesthouse. Three thigs: 1. it's clean, 2. like a realxing Island in the middle of the City, 3. great hosts. I would definetly recommend this place.
Thomas the Manager is not only quiet handsome but also always 24h available and helpful! The occasional parties are very fun, you rather feel like staying with friends then in an ordinary hotel. The guesthouse is located very convenient. These are the reasons we extended
our stay here for another 2 weeks. Wifi is everywhere available and there is free tea & coffee.
Thomas was a great host!! He willing to wait for us even we arrived late after midnight since we took late flight from Jeju. he gave us free laundry as well. On our last day, we took pictures together and he gave us Pepero as a gift since the next day will be Pepero Day in Korea! Thank you for the hospitality!.
Really liked the staff and the location. Price was perfect for a dead-center situated guesthouse. Just a small walk to a great food market and 20 metres to a supermarket and busy street with taxi and metro. Room was clean. Easy to find.
The staff is always soooo nice)) I love the environment here and it's very convenient to go to shopping at night. Good location. I met some amazing guys here. By the way, drinking on the roof at night is really a good pleasure.))).

The public bathroom is a little bit small, but everything is clean. Not bad.
We got a room that was requiring some future renovations. But, other than that, if there's something that makes you uncomfortable, Thomas will do what it takes to make your stay comfortable.
