Located in a quiet neighborhood, Ichinoyu Shinkan offers rooms with a private open-air hot-spring bath. Guests can use free Wi-Fi at the entire property and enjoy the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths as well. Tonosawa Train Station is a 10-minute walk away.
Guests can choose to stay in rooms with Western bedding or in rooms with Japanese futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) floors. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a safety deposit box. Japanese Yukata robes and slippers are provided for all guests, while the en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer.
Massages can be requested for an extra cost and a free-use internet PC is available at the lobby. Japanese shogi chess games can be borrowed at the front desk. During specific periods, guests can enjoy public hot-spring baths at neighboring Ichinoyu Group properties in the area.
Traiditional multi-course meals featuring local pork dishes are served for dinner and a complimentary breakfast is provided in the morning. All meals are served at the dining room.
Shinkan Ichinoyu is a 5-minute drive or taxi ride from Hakone Yumoto Train Station and a 25-minute train ride from JR Odawara Train Station. Lake Ashinoko and Hakone Shrine are a 30-minute drive away.

Had all to myself a private bath tub filled close to the brim with water from the onsen.
Quaint room that offers the a fusion of 2 cultures with the thickness of a western style mattress, and for the most part, Japanese furnishings.
all the staff are very friendly, I like the dinner and breakfast, Great~
a warm comfortable room.
Private bath means bath tub without a shower head, so I had to shower at the public onsen area.

Important information to guests
Guests without a meal plan who want to eat dinner at the property must make a reservation at least 2 days in advance.
Guests travelling with children are kindly requested to notify the property of the total number of children, the age of each child staying in the room and whether or not meals/extra bedding will be necessary at least 2 days before the date of arrival.
You must check in by 19:00 to eat dinner at the property. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. This applies only to guests who have a dinner included booking.
Group booking guests with 2 or more booking confirmation numbers must notify the property in advance. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.
Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities.
Modifications of bookings must be made at least 2 days prior to the date of arrival. If the number of guests checking in exceeds the number of guests indicated in the booking confirmation, additional fees may apply.

There are many stairs and steep hills between the property and the closest Tonosawa Train Station, and there is no public transport from the station. The property recommends guests to use a taxi from Hakone Yumoto Station.
