This is a delightful property. It s an old water mill that has been lovingly and tastefully restored and is now a superb boutique hotel on the banks of the river very close to Florence. This is most definitely the best hotel experience I have ever had. The
hotel itself was the most beautiful I have ever stayed in (the location
and vistas, the gorgeous building and the decoration) but it was also
the best staffed. Hotel staff can be friendly or they can be enjoyable
- the people working at hotel mulino seem to be happy and enjoy their
work and enjoy making guests stay's pleasant. That was so apparent

The hotel is a delight and our garden room was more than we had
expected. The hotel staff were simply magnificent and were always
looking to help us with, for example, directions for days out of
Florence, booking train tickets to Rome and restaurant reservations. The
service in the restaurant was excellent and the serving of drinks and

We arrived by car so we were looking for somthing close to the city, butnot in it. The hotel was very convenient to the highway, but stillquiet, and did not charge for parking. Breakfast was very good, room wasbig, internet downstairs, easy and direct bus to the city center. If Iwere going to Florence again with a car, I would stay here again. It w

We were there for a long weekend, racing at the Mugello circuit. The hotel is extremely well situated, a bus station just nearby the hotel to go to Florence and the scenery is splendid. Originally booked the mobile home units which did not suit our needs at all so we upgraded to a cabin which was perfect. The lady at the office was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Lovely camping with great views to Florence. The mobile homes are small but enough for a couple. The camping is quiet so is great if you want to rest. Is only 10 minutes far by car from Florence.

The Bencista is a fabulous old villa up in the hills of Fiesole with
breathtaking views of Florence. It is a wonderful, quiet retreat from
long days of sight-seeing. It is a short walk to the bus stop to catch
the #7 bus into town (20 min) or a €25 cab ride (recommended for

It is so quiet at night and cooler than Florence. Dinner on the terrazza overlooking Florence. The antique everything. What better than a stay in a Medici Villa for a visit to Florence! You can buy bus tickets right there and hike up to the road to catch a bus. Nice 20 min walk to Fiesole, or you can take the bus. Coffee on the Terrazza next to the Aurora Hotel in Fiesole is great too. There is no A/C but the large ceiling fan was sufficient. No TV, but who has time to watch tv with all the stu

Wonderful place, the family made us feel at home immediately and could not do enough for us. Breakfast each morning was so delicious and all homemade. I was really sorry to have to leave when the time arrived and would return in a heartbeat. -
