Rooms were well appointed and everything worked. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

Excellent hotel facing the sea. It was pouring it down with rain when the ferry arrived at Stromboli and we were thankful that a golf car was waiting for us. Rooms are a good size, my wife liked the pool and to have a good breakfast facing the sea across a small road was wonderful. Three good nights in firm beds, great.

Fabulous room on two levels with a view over the ocean; great minimalist decor. The lounge was a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the ocean... although drinks buffet a bit pricey (good food though). The beach below was gorgeous.... you can hire lilos to lounge on as a bit difficult otherwise (pebble beach). -

This is a unique property - an old manor house, fully restored, a producing vineyard and an excellent estate wine that is well worth the modest price. The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats.
