  Lived three hotels in Venice and was staying here for 3 nights. This is the one that I like most. It's like a family hotel with a garden inside and beautiful shared living room just near the river; room is clean and quiet; the price seems economical; and the stuff are very very friendly and approaching who helped me a lot, (like introduce the way ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » around, how to get to train station, where is the convenient store nearby, how to set the safe box and access to the wifi, etc, etc...)   The location was more than excellent! It was very easy to find even for those who don't know Venice. It was very near to the main square and to the "vaporetto" stations. No more than 5 minutes on foot. Especially the staff was too helpful and polite. They were excellent. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The stairs were funny.   We were positively surprised how the staff is friendly and make all guests feel like in their own home. We were specially amused by the restaurant team: the waiter is always smiling and playing around with guests (of course, always keeping respect) and the kitchen chef, Federico, even not speaking english, he does his best to communicate with gues... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ts and is always gifting awesome foods. Certainly, as we had the chance to tell them, Il Lato Azurro was the best place we stayed in our trip (which i - - The staff was really nice - The Location was charming! I loved the quitness of the island. - The breakfast is quite sober but good enough for us! - Keep in mind that you will have to travel with a vaperetto (waterbus) from venice to a seperate island! Trip will take 20 minutes and than you will have to walk for 15 minutes (or make an appointment with the hotel for a free shuttle service! The walk is nice so we didn't use this service). - Don't expect luxury, just a place to sleep!
