A beautifully converted palazzia - all modern amenieties in a beautiful old building. The hotel even provided parking vouchers for a nearby square - excellent service! - Hotel has lots of character and is very conveniently situated in the old town. Maybe one of the best studio-room I've ever been in. Awesome "magazine-design" room, with chimney and unbelievable views to whole city. The location is in the city centre of Citta Alta, which is the most touristic area in Bergamo. If I knew this city and hotel would be so great, I would surely have spent more than one day there.

Everything as described if anything better than expected .Friendly but
unintrusive .breakfast more than adequate and service great .the
previously reviewed glass doors issue was being dealt with and that
solved a really nice place to stay for all .The bus from the airport
goes every 20mins takes 15 mins and drops you 5 mins walk from La Torre

Arranged a lift from airport with hotel owner - very friendly and meant we could get in to the room very early. Beautiful old building - lively location in the historical centre of bergamo. The welcome was very lovely and the owner was kind in making good recommendations for places to eat on two very rainy evenings.
The rooms with ceiling frescoes are high and very appealing.
The breakfasts were a refreshing surprise with salad plates presented along with cereal and fresh fruit.

The hotel is a perfect base for discovering Bergamo both Citta Alta and Bassa. The hotel is right in the heart of Citta Alta, the historical centre of Bergamo, which really is the best place to stay when visiting Bergamo. Leaving the hotel you are right in the middle of things - just a few minutes walk from Piazza Vecchia. Being just a few metres from the funnicular, you are also perfectly situated to return to the present and visit the modern centre of Bergamo - in Citta Bassa.

Sympathetically renovated to retain old features with modern facilities, spotless, staff very helpful and friendly, excellent breakfast with homemade goodies and choice of English cooked or traditional Italian. We had a kitchenette with table and sofa and large, comfortable bed, mountain view over roofs from top floor room. 5 minute walk to modern city /airport bus.
