Located in front of the famous and scenic Lake Toba in Merek, Taman Simalem Resort offers modern guestrooms with a flat-screen satellite TV. Jungle trekking and farm tours are also available. Karaoke facilities are also available for those who prefer to stay indoors. Luggage storage services are offered at the 24-hour reception. This place is amaizing. Excellent location and the meal package and other free activities makes this a really one stop shop.. Golf, fishing, hiking, it has it all, and with excellent views of lake toba. Verry comfort place with beautifull scenerry. Nice place for relax, far from the routines. Making you want to come again and again. The road to get there was under major repairs, so was a taxing drive. No minibar in the room is annoying. Rooms are on the small side for the price, but really you shouldnt need to spend much time in the room.

Jungle trekking and farm tours can be arranged free of charge based on room occupancy. Please note that there is a construction work located near to the resort starting from 16 October 2015 until 30 June 2016. Guests staying in Tongging Lodge Room, Tongging Superior Double or Twin Room, and Tongging Deluxe Double Room may experience noise disturbance during the day. Please inform Taman Simalem Resort in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. A prepayment deposit via bank transfer is required to secure your reservation. The property will contact you after you book to provide any bank transfer instructions.
