My husband and I stayed at the Marygio in Dec. 2013, It was an overall great experience. This small hotel is run by a warm Italian couple who really made us feel at home. As it was a family ran business and there were only limited rooms available, the owners really hosted us very well during our stay there. It made us feel as though we were staying over at a friend's place.
The room was clean and the breakfast was a hearty spread. We had good wifi in our room, being able to easily load Facebook and whasapp messages. The pool was very clean too.
I like that it is slightly off the main stretch. But walking back to the resort would require one to carry a torch

The villas are brilliant! Very clean, large and comfy! The sea water shower is amazing and there is plenty of fresh water in a scoop afterwards! Far from the centre which might be good for some, bad for other! It's 10 minute bicycle ride and 25 minute walking. We loved it!

The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done for us with good humor and a friendly, relaxed manner. Setting was idyllic and just the right distance to walk into the main town. Food was delicious and inexpensive, considering we were at a resort. Privacy was another good feature.

Stayed at villa 5 and had the most wonderful time. The resort itself is quiet, far from the maddening crowds of the East coast. Staff were very helpfull and friendly. The diving was extremely well organised with equipment standards rating very high. The breakfast choices were great and always fresh. The staff was so attentive and caring. With only four bungalows you really feel like a small family here. Cyntia (the owner) even borrowed us her own dvd collection. Jacki makes the best banana pancakes, so if you stay there, order pancakes for breakfast. :)

We opted for the basic room no aircon or hot water, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. There are more fancy places on Gili Air, but it its a good clean room you are looking for this is the place, you don't need many facilities as the island surrounds is what you there for. -

Perfect location. Hire bikes on site and 5 minute ride to the busy
harbour area. Nice beach out front and good supply of beach deckchairs
in dedicated Bale Sampan. Turtles every day out front. Staff are like a
family. Food is cheap and of highest quality. Bungalows are ultra

My girlfriend and I stayed at Bale Sampan for 3 days after trekking up
Mount Rijani in Lombok. Our fist impression was that the hotel was
charming would be quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Check in was
quick and easy and we were immpressed by the cleanliness and layout of
the room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large enough for
two people to maneuver without stepping on each other.

As a 40+ solo traveller I enjoyed the comforts provided by Kaluku Bungalow including the king bed, air conditioning, and private outdoor shower and toilet which was beautifully designed with natural slate and stone. There are only a handful of bungalows available at Kaluku and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the banana pancakes

The bungalow is clean and nice. It is on the beach as all hotels on Gili island are. The shower and toilet are under the sky;) Breakfast is simple but nice. It's better to go to other places to swim and lay on the beach as there is no actually beach in front of the hotel and the sea is not deep enough. The island is perfect, it's like paradise!
