  Good food and a friendly welcome. Great location (if you like comfort near a wilderness) - The dinner in the hotel was amazing ! Good stop while travelling the iceland ring road!

  Guesthouse Drangshlid is a family run small motel near the Skogar waterfall. The owner/manager couple are wonderful people who are eager to engage in conversation. We discussed the joy of winter-time ocean swimming in nearly freezing water and then jumping into a swimming pool heated naturally from water originating in deep pools. The included ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » breakfast is delicious and hearty. Dinner was the best we had in Iceland. The shower provided plenty of heat, but not much water pressure. - The owner wasn't in town while we were here but the woman in charge gave us tons of info and stories on Iceland, the volcano and folklore. She was so nice and pleasant and even though the chef wasn't in our meal was delicious!! There's a huge rock/mountain outside that is very picturesque and we were surrounded by fields and sheep (of course) and a few horses, while the waterfall pounded on in the distance. This was definitely an enjoyable stay.

  Me and my girl spend a wonderfull night at this guesthouse which is actually more like a nice comfy bed and breakfast. Sigga and her husband are amazing friendly and well travelled people and made us feel really at home. Also the other couple Jeff and Sam where a nice addition to the stay there, lots of laughter all together. We shared a lot of st... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ories. To bad we didnt had the energy to check out the hot tub but maybe 1 day we come back. Breakfast was great, hering with egg on fresh bread :) T - Very welcoming people. They offer you a room in their own house. So you use their kitchen and facilities. There is a nice dog, quiet most of the time . The tenants are really nice and make you feel comfortable at home and also they like to talk and share experiences. The house is clean and warm. The breakfast is wonderful : They try to make you taste Icelandic food. The bath tube is not available in winter. A place I recommend.
