We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!

The hosts were very friendly and they helped us with advices and recommendations about what to see and visit in Budapest. They make us fell really welcomed, they smiled a lot and they were very very nice. We even received a bottle of wine courtesy of the house :) and some pieces of jewels hand made by them :) they really made us enjoy every minute

So the hotel is really good and absolutely value for money (we've payed 180 EUR for dbl room for 3 nights with breakfast). There is a sauna, jacuzzi and mini water pool in wellness center and opportunity to order massage with discount. The place is 5 minutes' walk from the Central Market and near to an

A great location, if you want to be near the main tourist street with lost of shops and restaurants (which are open late and sell everything at 'tourist prices'). The apartment has an unique atmosphere, with very high ceilings, windows opening to Vaci utca, and a church sitting in the back yard.

The location was perfect. We were across the street from the Danube, and closest to all attractions and restaurants. We had our five year-old daughter with us, and she made friends with the neighbour children in the courtyard. It was one of the best trips we have taken in Europe thus far. It was a beautiful apartment with all of the amenities we needed.

Everything!!! Amazing value for money (50Euros/nite) secure parking included. Apartment well equpped although it could use a few wine glasses and an egg flipper.Walking distance to all the best sites of Budapest and great Public Transit if you prefer. Fantastic value for money - cheaper than staying in a hostel but you get a fully furnished apartment. Our train was delayed but Andras was waiting for us at 11:30pm when we got in. He was extremely helpful and the apartment was properly equipped for a long stay - not just things like actual plates etc (bizzarely lacking from many rented apartments), but salt, pepper, cooking oil etc. Location could be better but the metro station is only a couple of minutes walk.
