We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!

Everything was wonderful--the location, my large, comfortable room, breakfast, free wifi, a pleasant and efficient staff. No it isn't a four/five star but that's because there isn't room service, a large bar etc.--all fluff. Everything fine. Even with an extra bed it was roomy. Breakfast was good. TV was varied, useful on snowy days. The staff was very friendly, to begin with. I had problems with my card when i made the reservation and they were nice and didn't make a big problem about this.
The apartments were in the center, so close to everything and very very spacious and comfortable. They have everything you might need including an ironing machine and a hairblower and all sorts of stuff in the kitchen. We were very surprised we could get such a nice place, with such a good location with what we thought was a low price.

For the price the hotel was suitable. However the room was quite
different from description at the time of booking - no bath and small
room. I am nearly sure they also mentioned a kitchen area. I liked the

Stayed there for the second time. After visiting other hotels at a
higher rate with less convenience, I found this hotel was quite a good
one. If you reach there by train, take m2 and just one stop to Blaha
Lujza ter. Walk along Jozsef korut towards Baross U. Take about 10 mins.
If you reach by plane, take bus no. 200E from airport to the last stop.
Then take the metro m3 to station Kalvin ter. About 7-min walk to reach
the hotel.
