Good location, in the middle of VIII district, just a short walk from underground (Blaha Lujza ter or Kalvin ter), restaurants, cafes. There is a small supermarket opposite the hotel which is open till 10 p.m. Very nice breakfast, delicious coffee, very helpful and hospitable staff. Loved this small, thoughtfully decorated hotel. Small, intimate and lots of attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to help us with visiting sites, getting taxis, etc. Very reasonably priced, good location. We missed our connection to Budapest because of weather and thus forfeited a night we had paid for at the Beletage, but the hotel let us have a free night on our return! We were impressed - thank you!

I simply loved this hotel. The innkeeper Victor is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes away from Fishermans Bastion - a beautiful Place where you can sit in the evening with a fantastic view, a glass of Tokajer and a live-band playing violin-Music. This place is great! The owner, Viktor, is a very nice guy and was extremely helpful. We arrived late in the evening and he arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport.
The Budavar Pension is clean, quiet and is in an excellent location, very close to the Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle and is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Chain Bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!
