The whole trip was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My previously holiday-shy boyfriend loved everything about the holiday and especially the restaurant (Corinne Star) in the grounds of the hotel. It was the best of the restaurants we tried in both Kalamaki and Chania. The staff were very hard-working, warm and helpful. The beachside setting was beautiful, westward facing so you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner at the poolside. Really hoping we can come back soon :)

I stayed in Santa Marina Plaza more than a week at the beginning of September 2013. I liked wonderful view from my terrace (front sea view room) and the beach. Very convinient location - not far from Chania and with many shops and restaurants near the hotel.

The staff were fantastic, the rooms were large and we were lucky enough to have a seaview. The all inclusive rate was so good. The meals were very nice and it is a magic location. This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night. We plan to return and will definitely book this hotel again because it is in the best location directly across from the port, very easy access to all the attractions in the area, easy parking, best bedding with Coco Mat bedding incredibly

I rarely take the time to write reviews but Megaron was so exceptional that I felt compelled to comment. The service, room, breakfast buffet are extraordinary! The hotel is an ideal spot for people who like busy places but want to sleep in peace and quiet. It’s a few steps from the busiest street I have seen in Crete. Everything was beyond our expectations . Theodore who works on the late shift is brilliant . Full of knowledge and so helpful . Location is on a side street which is quiet but only 50 meters from everything you could possibly need which is on time main road . Facilities brilliant too . Nothing was too much for any of the staff - you were treated superbly with a fantastic hotel room & great sea views.
As we arrived late & missed dinner, the hotel had placed a plate of salad, cold meat, a bottle of wine & water on our arrival.
During meal times, there was a wide selection of dishes available.
Sissi is a quiet area as is the hotel and fantastic for peace & relaxation.
The spa treatments that i received were well worth the money.

Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ ευγενικό, πρόθυμο και με γνώσεις της περιοχής. Η καθαριότητα σε όλους τους χώρους και στα δωμάτια ήταν πολύ ικανοποιητική. Επίσης, το φαγητό (μπουφές) σε όλα τα γεύματα είχε μεγάλη ποικιλία και παραδοσιακά πιάτα. Τα γλυκά ήταν ιδιαιτέρως φρέσκα και εύγεστα. -

Value for money here is phenomenal. Rooms are and have all that you
would expect/require in terms of size, comfort and cleanlinesss. The
design and location are magnificent, the pool lovely and the service top
notch (they even sent us our sweaters via snail mail at no charge since
we accidentaly left it at the hotel). Also, Vangelis cooks like the

of them, so we ended up eating here most of the time (go for the special
of the day). -
We arrived only around 11pm and did not have dinner yet. Vangelis still cooked us a quick but delicious meal.
The room was big and well equiped, the wifi worked perfect the whole time, the swimmingpool + poolbar was great for lazing around the whole day, plus excellent views over Elounda. Vangelis is really one of the best host/owner we've ever met!
