The hotel is located right at the sea with the most beautiful view from the balcony I've ever had - marvellous blue sea and basically nothing else. It's worth dying for:) The staff is more than friendly. We arrived very late at night because our flight to Chania was late and the guy at the check-in desk was waiting for us although it was way after his working hours:) The rooms are VERY small but sufficient and it's a fair deal for the money you pay.
όλα τα σχόλια » Sfakia is a really nice small willage and our stay was very pleasant. Hotel and taverna at the street level of it are directly next to the see. Familly run busines, owners are super friendly and food served in taverna was delicious. All dishes made of localy produced ingredients real mediteranian taste. Sfakia is beautifull place and lots of good small beaches close to it where you can get on small boats. Loutro being a hidden pearl. The location of the hotel is superb - right by the sea with beautiful views from balconies. We were provided with free parking near the bakery which was very convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were impressed by their attitude when we arrived 2 hours before check-in and were served free tea/coffee because the room was not ready yet. They also have a very nice restaurant right in front of the hotel. We got the room with two balconies, with the sea side view. The room was clean, and we did not miss anything. There was also breakfast included in the price. It is a small town, so you can enjoy the quite(not in the evening, because the restaurants are under the hotel - but it is not party-city), and nice view, and relax. There is wonderful beach called Vrisi. We came to Khora Sfakion first time on a bicuycle tour from Rethymnon 6-7years ago and became so infatuateted that we promised ourselves that we should come back. Our expectations were met and we had 3 wonderful days Yannis and his father. This is a friendly, clean, efficiently run hotel in a beautiful location. The facilities are simple but give outstanding value for money. The restaurant is very good. Chora Sfakion is a lovely place and we will certainly go there again. We got a good deal at the start of the off season. The place is in the very center and hosts a large restaurant on the water front. Great place, helpful staff. Usual island hospitality and friendliness. The food was great too. Perfect stay at Samaria Hotel! The room was lovely and had an amazing view. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were super helpful and welcoming, especially Giannis! I'll definitely be back next year. Great view from the balcony and comfortable accommodation. We did not like only the restaurant which was the part of the hotel. But they have typical Cretean attitude to the customers - firstly they are so nice, because they want you to come to their restaurant, and when you have ordered something, then they ignore you for the whole time, so you have to beg for the bill :-D Rather try the next restaurant (Nikolas) ;) Younger and more active younger guys which are not already bored from their work :-D. That all the bagpackers hurried away from the Ferry without spending a cent. It gave us more peace and tranquility but for the benefit of the business community in Khora Sfakion the organizers could delay the bus departure one hour. Nothing. It's always complicated to book a place with small children, but that's nothing to do with the hotel, more with the booking system itself. bed is a bit short for tall people. A bit noisy, which is normal since you are above restaurants and in town center. For the price we paid, less than 30 euros, there was nothing wrong. No reception and confused staff. The room was very small. We would not be happy to stay for more than one night. Can't think of anything. The smoke and smoking. The staff smoke, even while on duty. I also witnessed a lady smoking in the kitchen. It's a problem in Crete generally. I suspect they are losing huge volumes of custom as a result of their poor hygiene and smoking standards.
