  Our room was on the 5th floor with a tiny balcony overlooking the Rhine, which was perfect for us to sit and watch the boats go by. The room was well equipped, very clean, with even a hospitality tray - rare outside the uk. There was also free WiFi which was a nice bonus. They directed us to a great little German pub with very good food at an excellent price. The host was a hoot!!   The best hotel I've ever stayed in! The staff were absolutely fantastic, and so helpful with everything. The wooded area was very peaceful and beautiful, with the city completely out of sight and sound, yet so near. I do suggest taking the bus - walking with luggage took a lot longer than expected, especially with a hill at the end. I hi - We've been travelling for over three months now and this is the best hotel we've stayed in. It was great to leave the car in the free carpark and walk the 2km across the Mosel River into Trier - an amazing historical city.
