The house where the pansion is located is probably the most beautiful building in whole Oberammergau.
The owners are very nice. Their cheese shop nearby is fantastic! -

The owner Joseph Zwink welcomed us at his guesthouse and was very helpful with carrying our luggage to the rooms. The rooms are spcious, very comfortable and clean. We had very interesting conversations with him and he personally attended to the breakfast which was very tasty. The gusthouse is very close to the centre of Oberammergau (5 min walk)

The owner is very helpful indeed and excellent with English. While the Pension is older, it is very well kept and the two couples of us enjoyed it and would recommend it for those wanting to save on accommodation. Parking was also very helpful. Very central to the town. -

I would recommend the Hotel Wittelsbach to anyone. It is fantastically situated in the heart of the village with fantastic views to the mountains. This hotel is centraly located in the heart of Oberammergau's
village center. It is within waling distance of many places to shop and
eat. We picked this hotel due to the great reviews and the location of
the town for castle visiting. Breakfast is included and is good. Cereal,
eggs, breads, jams, and fruits are typical. Our room was on the corner
of the first floor with a balcony. It was one of the bigger rooms with
two beds. The bathroom was remodeled and very nice.

Frau Richter was a superb hostess! She took care of us as if we were family. She was especially attentive to the needs of our daughter's 6 month old son. Location was close to all we wanted to do. Where to start? We liked everything about this hotel. Otto and Eva are such amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and Otto is a mine of information about all sorts of local attractions and the history of Oberammergau. The room was perfect with a beautiful view towards the chairlift. You don't have to search any longer, this place is perfect! The breakfast was perfect, the room was clean and big, and really nice.You got a Königscard to the room which gives you a lot of discount, eg. Labergbergbahn for free (instead of 14,5€). There is "minibar" on the first floor, where you can find dishes, tee, waterboiler, beer, soft drinks

The guest house is beautiful with painted walls and insides as well, doors and furniture are lovely. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast served is for kings & queens! The rooms are very comfy and have a perk of special mattresses. As guest we were greeted with pack of Haribo bears on our pillows :-) Haha, could not imagine a better welcome in Germany.
