We had a great stay from the very start. At check in the lady gave us loads of information about the best Christmas markets and was really welcoming. The apartment itself was clean and a really decent size. It's location was the best thing; virtually at the entrance the the Alte Market Christmas Market and the huge ice rink on Heumarkt. There are

The apartment's management office was very easy to find just steps from the main train station and the staff there was very friendly. The apartment itself is very spacious and on the ground floor so we didn't have to lug our bags up flights of stairs. Loved the location of the hotel which is so close to the DOM Cathedral, the Rhine River (which extends to 4 countries) the city center with shops, pick up point for city tour and Cologne's tourist center. This apartment was really very comfortable and practical for my needs. Just over a 5 minute walk from the central station and about 7 minutes from the Dom and central Cologne, it is really very handy. The apartment itself is on a quiet side street, so traffic is not an issue.
The kitchenette is well-equipped and the main room is nicely decorated.

We stayed for 8 nights, during a trade show, with our two small dogs. The room was really good. You have a fridge, and a kettle, and a lot of storage space, and a nice bathroom with proper bath. The hotel was booked with some trepidation as the location, using google street view, looked uninspiring. It is on a fairly busy road junction, but our room on the 6th floor was very quiet. The hotel stored our cycles in a store room inside. Facilities at the hotel were superb ... a well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, sink, and all the basic utensils plus bedroom and separate small lounge area with couch, tv, desk and small table. Great location for exploring the town.

Once i got to the hotel, i never had to take public transport much again, as it is a 5 min walk to shops and the Koelmesse, which was where i went everyday for 4 days. The daily breakfast was very filling, and all you can eat! The staff (family hotel business) are all very friendly, and although i do not speak German, we could communicate. - Very f
