  Excellent location, very close to train station and many restaurants...just a few steps to the lovely lake area. It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags).   The standard of the hotel is very high, across the board. We received a pleasant welcome and were escorted to our brand new, spotless room (of 5 star standard) where we spent two relaxing days. It's a short walk to central station but is well equipped with a number of cafes/bars downstairs.   The staff was very friendly and very helpful with directions. Location was excellent: 3 closeby train stations and very central, beside Alster lake, closeby touristy spots. The rooms were new, very comfy beds (difficult to leave the room!) Price was reasonable for the convenience. Short walk to Town Hall square and lake. Very helpful staff at reception. Seuss penthouse suite which was superb and excellent value.   Excellent.We stayed in this hotel only for one night , but it is suffice to say that we felt homey. Commodious , cleanness of the rooms , very good breakfest.
