  This is a great hotel to stay at in Hamburg. It has a cozy feel, and good sized rooms and bathrooms. We were able to walk right into the city center in about 15 minutes, and another 5 minutes to the lake.   The Alster Hof was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Hamburg.   Good customer service, very friendly most of the time. The hotel is located within the city centre where most transport such as bus, taxi and train can be easily accessed.
