I really enjoyed staying in this very nice old hotel in an original old building which has been nicely renovated. The reception area, breakfast rooms as well as the public areas have nice original old furniture without lacking any modern conveniences. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They make you feel you are their personal guest. I

1. staff - more than excellent, felt like visiting distant relatives.
2. great breakfast.
I asked for a ketchup and they offered me a "bavarian mustard" (which is in general not included in breakfast). The mustard was great and they gave it to me the next day without asking.

This is an older German gasthäus so it is what it is. However, you would
be hard put to find a modern hotel as clean as this place. It was
spotless. My room, #21, was very quiet and comfortable. I also felt very
safe in the area. There is a smell that is apparent when the room is
shut up for a while, but again, not because of lack of cleanliness.

I've stayed here numerous times, love the central location near the main train station and the happening street nearby with cafes, bars and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Never tried the breakfast as I usually go to one of the nearby cafes or bakeries due to sleeping in. It's always my first choice to stay here. Free wifi. Some rooms have no bathroom, so you need to make sure what you're after...

Excellent location, very close to train station and many restaurants...just a few steps to the lovely lake area. It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags). The standard of the hotel is very high, across the board. We received a pleasant welcome and were escorted to our brand new, spotless room (of 5 star standard) where we spent two relaxing days. The walk from the train station does involve passing by several "exotic" shops and streetwalkers, but this is germany, and any hotel near to a railway station is going to involve an interesting walk.

Very clean, helpful staff, terrific breakfast, and location --- just outside the busy downtown core but within walking distance of public transit.
