A 5-minute walk from the centre of Axat, Aux Quatres Saisons offers a garden with a terrace, accommodation with a free minibar and facilities for making tea and coffee. Some rooms and apartments also include a balcony, barbecue and fully equipped kitchenette. Additional facilities in the rooms include either air-conditioning or large ceiling fans. Each one also has satellite TV, a refrigerator and a private bathroom. A continental breakfast is provided and guests can sample the local cuisine in a shared meal with the hosts, upon request. Picnic baskets can also be prepared. After breakfast, you can go to the local swimming pool and Pays Cathare Tourist Train which are both 500 metres away. Hiking and biking trails begin at the property and a fishing river is situated opposite the property. Puilaurens Castle is just a 15-minute drive away and the B&B offers free Wi-Fi access and free private parking on site. There is also an airport shuttle service.

The hosts of this guest house made us feel really welcome. The blazing lovely fire in the sitting room greeted us on our arrival and the dinner (5 courses) was delicious at only 20 Euros each. We weren't expecting to eat with the hosts but it turned into a very enjoyable evening. We stayed in the attic which had a bedroom area (1 dble & 1 singe beds), lounge area, kitchenette & shower. The views from the bedroom were beautiful. A river flowed past and the mountains over looked the house.
όλα τα σχόλια » A stunningly good experience. Visitors are guests in a lovely home. Paul, le Patron, is a very hospitable, cheerful, helpful and friendly host. In addition he is a superb chef. Aux Quatre Saisons is worth a visit just for dinner alone. The price charged for dinner there should probably be at least three times as much as Paul charges and would be in any Restaurant with any reputation; 6 splendid courses with appropriate very well chosen wines, all inclusive. This is Michelin star cuisine. Visit . Everything - lovely building, charming room, space age shower, good location, great dinners, nice dog and cats, the other guests and most of all the host. Funny, charming, helpful. The dinners especially are very sociable, with great food, excellent wine and a chance to socialize with tourists from all over the world. And finally, Paul, the owner, chef, tourist adviser and just about everything else too. He makes everyone very welcome in his own unique style. This was the best bed and breakfast experience we have had in France. Paul and val went out of their way to provide us with the most incredible home cooked meal. They were very friendly, warm and helpful. The bedrooms were very comfortable and ours overlooked their pretty garden. Fabulous views of the surrounding mountains too. We hope to return some day! Great local knowledge and advice on things to see and do in the area. We arrived to candles, warm fire and a glass of wine. Our room was very comfortable and, for the price, included unexpected extras. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple. Excellent value for money here. Not just another quaint B&B, but a real find for its location, it's unique proprietor/gourmet chef, Paul, and its outstanding value. Breakfast was generous and varied, but you must plan for at least one dinner - a masterpiece of local cuisine pared with great wines as well as Paul's gregarious and entertaining persona. the hosts val & paul were so welcoming ,nothing was too much trouble for them.The breakfasts were great.The dinners cooked by Paul were excellent .We brought our dog with us and he was made very welcome .cant wait to revisit another time. We will certainly recommend them to our friends. I have stayed in many hotels and I have to say this has been the best stay I have had ever! The service was excellent. Paul was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and room/fridge stock was most generous we have ever encountered in a B&B. The place & the hosts were absolutely charming. Nothing was too much trouble.I had the evening meal on several occasions - great food & very good value. Lovely friendly cheerful atmosphere. Excellent location to explore Cathare chateaux. Hearty welcome, cleanliness and atmosphere of rooms and lounge, and the great home made meals served by Paul. We got a splendid homecooked dinner, served with the best drinks and lots of comic relief :). Paul and Val are very welcoming and generous hosts. The evening dinners are very special. Everything was perfect Friendly, good value, clean, excellent food. food, room,. The owners. Absolutely nothing. We can honestly say there was not one thing we did not like. Nothing comes to mind.. Nothing not to like. Not sure i knew about dog and cats prior to visit, which may affect some people, though not me. Poor weather!!!. Nothing. Having to leave. Wouldn't know. not much, but would only stay for 2 or 3 nights as the food was overwhealming!.
