This historic U-shaped "commanderie" makes part of a 500-hectare rice-plantation, near the "Petit Rhône". The house is renovated in a luxurious way, with spacious rooms.
On the domain there are several annexed buildings and employee houses. Nevertheless, you have enough privacy to make your holiday an unforgettable stay. The beautiful courtyard with Mediterranean plants such as olive trees, cypresses and oleanders constitute the central heart of this holiday. Nearly all rooms have access to this place, including the rooms located through shared or private entrances. In the months of May and September, the owner has the right to live discreetly, in one of the private apartments at the courtyard. If required, he likes to exchange his knowledge about the region with you. There are also a few quadrupeds (like horses and donkeys) near the house that usually contribute for holiday happiness of the young (and the older).
Besides the fantastic nature with flamingos, wild horses and the most beautiful beaches you will find as well a lot of culture in the Camargue area, with cities like Nimes, Arles and Montpellier nearby. There are also several small (port) towns nearby like St. Gilles and Aigues Mortes, where you will find several restaurants and markets.
