Nina, our hostess was lovely and really helpful.
The apartment complex is run by a lovely old lady Nina who tried to make our stay as comfy as possible, bringing us breakfest to the room even off usual breakfest hours. The rooms can be seen as an interesting oldschool mixture of retro soviet interiors with bit of scandinavian taste conserved like they were decades ago.Good value for money, especially packpackers insisted to.όλα τα σχόλια »
I was greeted by a kind old lady who runs the guest house. Her warmth and kindness makes my stay ease and happy.
It is in a good place, hostess is kind of nice also, is speaking russian/english, food was ok.
the smell of gas in the hallway & definitely in need of renovating.
Exactly what I mentioned before, decades ago without any changes, at least bathrooms need some major reconstruction and maybe some help in form of a cleaning lady, we killed at least 4 spiders during our stay. Difficult to set the water the right temperature as it works with gas boiler. Plus very unpleasent smell in the corridor of the whole building. Without all those negative points I have to say again that it is what you pay for, good value for money, but it is not just for everybody.
* Smell in the room was awesome - we needed to keep the window open all the time (it barely helped), flies noticed that quite quickly. Btw that smell was of cat's urine.
* When you take 180cm bed, add 190cm mattress - you get a patent pending orthopedic bump for your back to rest after long walks in old town, especially if you are are tall enough.
