Situated in a pedestrian zone, Shappy Hostel is right next to the Cvjetni Trg Shopping Centre. The hostel is 200 metres from the nearest tram stop and just 250 metres from the central Ban Jelačić Square.
Numerous bars, night clubs, museums and galleries can be found in the city centre. The funicular leading up to the historic Upper Town is 200 metres away.
Main Train Station is just 1 km away, while Zagreb Airport is at a distance of 16 km. A shuttle bus leaves from the airport and takes 25 minutes to get to the Main Bus Station, which is within 2.5 km from the hostel.

The room is clean and cozy though it's a little but smaller than expected. The room we stayed with a window at the ceiling. It's enough light in daytime but my friend is sensitive to light that made her woke up in early morning, for me is not a problem. The other side of the hostel is under construction, it's not disturbing us as we were out. It is appreciated that the hostel still compensates us with waiving the entrance fee of the museum of broken relationship which is their partner. όλα τα σχόλια »
Excellent Hostel with the best location and staff.
Its located very close -3 minutes- to the main square with the best bars and cafes around.
The staff was very helpfull and kind. They answered every question.
I was a solo traveller for 3 days. I booked a 10 person dorm but they had to give me a bed at 4 person dorm and didn't charge extra. It was also very clean.
Deffinetely reccomend it.
This was my 4th stay in Shappy,and I would definetely come back.One of my favourite hostels so far.It s clean,modern design,lovely,helpful staff,fantastic location,in the very city center,beside a shopping mall that is open on sunday also.And,thanks to everyone in the hostel who made again my stay in the hostel enjoyable.

Great place to stay in Zagreb. Staff were super friendly and helpful on arrival. The rooms are brand new and are decorated really nicely. We arrived really late so didn't get to enjoy the courtyard but looked ideal for a drink. Location was excellent, close to all the attractions. Would stay here again if we were in Zagreb.
The hostel's location is perfect, right in the center with a 2 minute walk from the main square. The hostel is new so everything is very modern and clean, nicely decorated. Staff is very nice and helpful. They have a private parking, which is a great advantage in the center of Zagreb.
Location is excellent, it is close to everything. The rooms are new and very modern and clean. The A/C in our room was not working properly, we were offered a booking to a different hotel or a discount. We chose to stay and get a discount. The staff were very polite and apologetic.

The hostel is located in the very center of Zagreb, but still it was not noisy, although we were on the first floor, overlooking the cafe in the backyard. Our room was quite new, very light and clean. The girl at reception was very kind and helpful.
i arrived like 5 hours earlier from the check in time and they gave me the room without charging me. the staff is excellent and very helpful. i stayed in the deluxe double room and everything was great. very cozy and warm. i definitely recommend it.
We took the double room with private bathroom and had a fantastic stay in this place. Staff is super friendly and good breakfast. Atmosphere is unique and location is perfect. Also good if you need a secure parking for your car. 100 % recommended.

was like a hotel, located directly in the heart of Zagreb to go out in
the night;), breakfast is offed if you want, absolutely vale for money.
I liked the room. I stayed in a 10 beds dormitory room, but it was divided to two rooms inside, with 6 beds and 4 beds. So it was comfortable size for me.
Also, they provided a towel.

Fantastic location in the centre of the city. Easy access to all the sites of Zagreb on foot. Good value for money. It's cozy and it is still a work in progress.

we stayed in the double room which was comfortable but a bit small.
It said that they have luggage storage facilities but we had to leave our bags near the reception.
The rate for a double room was not much cheaper than any other medium range hotel we were checking in Zagreb. Also, the hostel is in the walking area, and its parking is actually located elsewhere. It was good to know this in advance, so that we could go directly to park our car, and not do numerous traffic violations trying to stop near the hostel to actually get the parking isntructions from reception.
Room is a little bit small but enough for one night.
For the dorm-style, it'd be great if each bed has its own power socket, as it'd be very inconvenient for people who sleep in the upper bed who'd like to have their electronic recharged.

Facilities are basic, Wi-fi not too strong, shower is a bit small, there was a tv inall the rooms but it was not working.
Room had windows opening into social courtyard so this made it less private of a space and had to keep curtains closed.

We stayed in the first rom, closest to the lobby and everytime a guest
entered the rooms area, we heared the door opening and closing during
the night. The walls are partly of dry-wall so noise is deffinitely an
issue if staying close to the entrance. Also, the courtains were white
and had no possibility to keep the room dark after sunrise.
