House Mara is situated about a 15 minute drive from the Plitvice Lakes National Park and is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting there. Boyana, who runs the house is absolutely wonderful, she is very attentive to your needs and likes to make sure you have everything you need for a good, comfortable stay. The property is very clean and in a very good location with several Bistros and a supermarket within walking distance. We would recommend the Marina Bistro which is around 700m from Ho.
όλα τα σχόλια » You should stay here! We only stayed one night, and I wish we would have stayed longer. The owner, Bojana I think, could not have been sweeter or more welcoming. She spoke perfect English, chatted with us in the evening, provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning (well worth 5 Euros each!), and was all-around the perfect hostess. The bed was very comfy, and there was plenty of hot water in the morning. The WiFi is free, and it was very fast. Parking is also free, and there is plenty of. It is shorter to say what we didn't like - nothing! It was a wonderful new house run by Boyanna (excuse spelling) with her lovely friendly family. We were made to feel as part of the family and provided with every service, help and comfort you could wish for. Our room was furnished with quality furniture and had everything we needed. The location, so near to the famous lakes and waterfalls - which we thoroughly enjoyed - is fantastic and the bistro in town was wonderful value. We loved it! Than. Our lovely hostess was very helpful with information about Plitvice Park. She speaks excellent English. The house design allows visitors to share the main living area with the family. We were served homemade Schnapps and made very, very welcome. Breakfast is optional. Also, we made an error with our dates of arrival and the owner was gracious enough to not charge us for not arriving on that date.... super!!! She also suggested an excellent local restaurant serving suckling pig from the sp. The host family were very friendly and welcoming. The hostess was extremely helpful in advising us about visiting the Plitvice lakes in the National Park, which is about a 20 minute drive from Korenica where House Mara is located. She also gave us great advice on places to eat dinner locally. The room was very comfortable (nice view over the countryside) and the WiFi worked well. There was a good selection of food to choose from at breakfast and it was very pleasant in her breakfast room. I absolutely loved my stay at House Mara. My stay here was the highlight of my entire trip to Croatia! The owner Bojana and her husband are wonderful. Along with Croatian, she speaks English fluently (possibly other languages) and the husband speaks German as well. They have two lovely daughters around 2 and 4. I cannot express how much my stay here cemented my trip into being the best one I have ever taken. I love Croatia, but I especially love House Mara!. We stayed at House Mara for one night while visiting Plitlivice National Park. Our hostess could have not been more accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. The town of Korenica has a couple of restaurants and the one at which we ate (name?) was very good. House Mara is within 15 minutes of the National Forest in a peaceful little town. You cannot beat the comfort, hospitality, location, or price. The host was really friendly and we immediately felt welcome; it makes all the difference when you're greeted with a smile. House Mara is about a 15-minute drive from Plitvice Lakes and therefore ideally located to visit the stunning national park. We'd definitely recommend staying here. This is a perfect place to stay after the day visit to Plitvice National Park. Only 10-15mins away from the park. The owner is very very friendly and I learnt so much about the people and history of Croatia from her. Their home is very new and home is built of good quality. You can expect much comfort. We waited for a good hour before the waiter inform us that they ran out of meat that we ordered. Can't complain at the price, it's very good value.
