I was very apprehensive about a backpacker budget bed in a dorm.since I had three other destinations I had a budget to keep.When I got to Calamari the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. When I got to the dorm there two other guys already I had seen in the plane and airport who also just got there. And we got to talk and connected easily. We went out to eat together. Then the next day a couple , him from Colombia and she from bogota. We welcomed them to our group. There. I was solo now p.
όλα τα σχόλια » Calamarí has a great location at historic downtown, a perfect spot to know the city. The option of the shared room is a good one if you do not want to have a fancy stay at town, and with fare rates. It is good to rest, despite the music outside but you are looking for fun, aren´t you? The place is clean, the sheets and towels are changed every day, a trunk with a locker for your gear, and the ventilation by fan is just OK. Try to imagine how people lived there at XVII century without AC and fan. The shared room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly =) and the terrace had a great view and was perfect for relaxing a bit after a long walk day. Showers were cold: and that is a plus concerning the heat in Cartagena. The location is absolutely perfect. the room was good, AC was the temperature need it, realy nice common area in the last floor. realy good location, in the middle of the walled city. The location is just perfect, and the house is awesome if you are looking for a colonial style. Excellent location within the walled city; clean, comfortable rooms with an attitude. wonderful location. Excellent Location Not expensive Right next to one of the top most exclusive hotels in Cartagena. The location. Since windows are open at night the mosquitos killed me ,one night only. Maybe screens on the w indows will help. But it was nothing. In comparison to its wonderful place. An area to improve would be the front desk knowledge about basic tips about the region, like how to go to Playa Blanca or Islas del Rosario, or how much cost a trip to the airport by taxi. As the shared room had no AC system, there are 4 fans on the room in order to keep (or at least try to) the heat down. It turned out to be quite noisy and a bit unpleasant to sleep, but again, better than no fan whatsoever. the room dont have a window, and a little overprise for the late checkout. Men's bathroom should be bigger at the shared dorm. no elevator, breakfast only cookies, or crackers, tea or coffee. Noisy Loud Music from neighboring venues/clubs Street music goes up to 4 or 5am easily. Too expensive for what they offer, they bill like a hotel but they don' t provide any service or food.
