Near the beach, clean, friendly staff, comfortable room with all the necessities at a good price.

No beach chairs by the pool.

It is located on a quiet street, close to the popular beaches in Barra. Many restaurants, shops, laundry, banks are nearby. Rooms are clean, staff are helpful, breakfast plenty, and the small dip pool was refreshing. Excellent wifi strength in rooms.

It is an old hotel and it show. If you don't speak Portuguese, it might be a bit difficult.

- Excellent location - Very nice views - Staff were very friendly and extremely helpfull - fresh fruits and juices for breakfast

The staff were very friendly and accomadadting.

The Wifi didnt work in our rooms.

It's very close to the start of the "Barra-Ondina" track. But if you plan to go for the "Camarote Salvador" or "Camarote do Nana", prepare to walk around 30 minutes to get there. For the Carnival, was a good price, I guess.

The building is kinda old. The rooms and specially the bathrooms are too simple and not so clean - even for a two-stars hotel. The swimming pool? Forget it. It was not clean, and the area is too small, no sun at all in the most part of the day. They only serve Skol and Brahma beers. Lame.

Nothing, checked out a couple of hours after check-in and ended up staying in Pelourinho at a well-priced, spacious pousada.

Price. Very poor value for money, even during Carnaval. Described in the Lonely Planet guide to Brazil as "high-end" - more accurate description would be "converted asylum" it has that kind of feel. The pool was small and amd so cloudy I couldn't even see the bottom. This really is a hostel quality accommodation. Barra is dirty, grimey and almost third-world. We did not feel safe there at all. Beaches are rubbish too - don't bother staying in Barra if you're after a beach holiday.
