  Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400.   We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. - Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms. Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise. Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good service without being ripped off.

  We stayed here for a week and we had a wonderful time. The hotel looks old but our room was nice and clean. You should know that most of the hotels in Rio are old .the staff were friendly and helpful.
