Very nice hotel. Very clean and neat!, My Room had a beaufitul view of the beach. Breakfast buffet was excellent! (hot and cold). The lobby is very pretty. Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

Excellent value; the presidential suite was really nice. I loved the stylish, fairly modern but comfortable style of decoration. The bathroom with jacuzzi/sauna was top-notch and the bedroom was perfect.

The staff at Augusto's were phenomenal. Fantastic customer service.
The staff are what made this hotel worth the money. In particular Yuri
and LIsa. They were so helpful with recommendations, calling restaurants
