  The hostel was in a place near to a main street, we arrived at night with the taxi and feel safety, but I don't know how long you can go out there nearby, because we didn't do it. We rented a douple room, it was very clean und the space was okay. 8Min. To walk you can take a metro, where you can go to ipanema and copacabana in 10min..   Location was good by Flamenco Beach to get to and from all attractions. Local busses and Airport busses stopped at end of the Hotels Road (along main road) and short walk from subway staition. The selection of food at breakfast was Excellent. Rooms were very clean with clean towel and beds made every day.
