  Excellent value; the presidential suite was really nice. I loved the stylish, fairly modern but comfortable style of decoration. The bathroom with jacuzzi/sauna was top-notch and the bedroom was perfect.

  - Rooms were quite basic but clean and well cared. - The rooftop and pool didn't look so great on the hotel's pictures but they actually are super nice!!! The view from the rooftop is beautiful (view on the beach and Corcovado's Statue) and the pool is just perfect when the temperatures are high. - Breakfast buffet was good overall (not excellent... τι λέει ο κόσμος » but good for the value) - Free wi-fi - Helpful staff at the front desk speaking english - The location was really convenient (1 min walking from the - We couldn't fault our stay here. The rooms were lovely and they even upgraded us from a standard to a superior suite. The roof top pool was a little oasis in the middle of rio and had fantastic views over the ocean. Staff and breakfast were great. The location was perfect for anyone wishing to stay at copacobana- right behind the copacobana palace (nicest hotel in rio) but for 1/2 the price. Highly recommend.

Pleasant helpful staff. Gym not tops if you are into that. Pool not exactly clean but that`s same most places in Rio. Room very comfortable and clean. Bedding not tops but it`s what you pay for. Price reasonable comparatively speaking.

  Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400.
