  This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. The division between the sleeping and sitting areas make them more like suites than just rooms. Anne-Aymon - From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel. The booking in was quick and easy, within minutes we were in our room. The room was above what we expected, very clean, comfortable and just everything we wanted was available. We could not fault this hotel. The breakfast was superb and more than enough, again the young lady was so positive at all tim

  Lovely helpful friendly staff. Very comfortable/clean room. Great location right on the beach and very close to shops and night life. Super fast room service. Really couldn't fault this hotel and would definitely stay here again - A great Hotel and Location with fantastic spacious rooms.   the hotel was tucked away in poperinge near Ypres and was quite delightful. The rooms were very nice with excellent bathrooms. The 4 course set meal was delicious and good value for money. I will definitly book again ! - So attractive hotel because it is renovated from an old manor house. The accommodation has been newly built in a residential area as a B&B business in the countryside and is clean, comfortable and fit for purpose. Overall the facilities are very highly highly commended. - The Aphrodite B& B was of 5 star standard with spacious rooms furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The host Heidi & Dirk were superb and most welcoming. The breakfasts were wonderful and would keep us going for the day. We would definitely stay there again. Ideally located for Ieper and the battlefields of the First World War. Dirk is a first class guide to the area.
