house with winding passages, multiple levels, and a variety of antiques?
My daughter, two teenaged grandsons, and I felt welcome and quite at
home during out stay. Johannes gave us our choice of family rooms and
arranged for the wonderful Bob's Tours (ask for Peter to be your

The appartment we had was Antonia. It was a very elegant suite-like appartment with many lovely details. It is situated in the most famous street of Salzburg and yet it was amazingly quiet. This was an amazing find. Literally in the heart of old Salzburg; close to the water, Mozart's birthplace and the French Church with a beautiful panorama of the city. The location was very central, walking distance to most attractions, and we loved the huge entrance doors and the beautifully renovated light interiors.
We made good use of the kitchen area for cups of tea, breakfasting, and also chocolate from the vending machine. The computer was useful for checking weather and emailing home, but wifi would be good to have if possible.

The owners are very friendly. They did their best to help us when we got some troubles with the car. The location is pretty good if you travel by car. -

Very pleasantly surprised. We wanted to stay longer! The room was very modern and clean - we felt right at home. It's a good 10 minute walk to town, but for this price and this quality we were prepared to make the hike! Really recommend. -

The hotel was perfectly located walking distance from the city centre. The room had a nice view on a square. We spent one evening in the pub, which is on the groundfloor of the hotel and enjoyed it together with local people, who were really nice and communicative. -

The hotel is about 10 min by foot from the main train station and the way is simple. Additionally, after reservation you receive from the hotel an instruction how to get to the hotel.
We chose a room with a bathroom. Our room was very clean, comfortable, big enough for 2 people. It was on the second floor. Moreover, we got the room for non-smoker

The pension was perfectly clean, and approximately 20 meters from it is
a bus stop. The busses run about every 20 mins, but it varies. The
reception staff is very helpful. Do buy tickets beforehand, to save
unnecessary expensive on the bus purchased, tickets. But remember, on
Sundays, most shops are closed in Salzburg. The main train station is
definitely walking distance. Currently there is construction going on,
so to handle luggage down and up stairs can be a challenge.

Very close to the centre of Salzburg. Hostess was extremely helpful with directions and booking of tickets for a concert. Budget priced but good value for money. -
