We were attending the 2013 Melbourne Grand Prix and this the location was excellent for accessing this event. The rooms were comfortable with the room we stayed in having a washing machine and dryer which came in very handy on the rainy days. The Aldi's downstairs was so convenient and we had other shopping areas within walking distance as well. We enjoyed staying at Apartments Ink and would stay there again if in Melbourne and going to events in the St Kilda area. A special mention must be mad.

We visited Melbourne in the middle of a 4 week holiday in Australia and wanted somewhere with laundry facilities to do a mid-holiday wash. The apartment was very well-appointed and felt like a little home away from home which was very welcome at the halfway point of our holiday. The apartments are situated right next to a medium sized supermarket which was very convenient. ideal location, fantastic quiet clean apartment. we had room 202 basically a one bedroom apartment, full kitchen if you need to cook. aldi supermarket at bottom of building. a secure car park and building. no party policy. reception polite and very pleasant. tram is a 2 minute walk away and very central to city. St Kilda's night life is a good fifteen mins walk or two minute drive away. Staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. Rooms were lovely and inviting, clean, had everything that was required away from home. God location and easy for a country driver to get to and access. All round very happy and pleased with stay, definitely come again and hopefully stay longer to get the full benefits of the room. I loved the service, friendly customer interaction and the professionalism of the hotel. The receptionist surprised me with an upgrade to a better and bigger room at no additional charge. My stay was relaxing, comfortable and the rooms were so modern, big bathrooms, clean rooms and tv's in every room. Excellent location for our needs. Walking distance to St Kilda & Beach. For fairly budget accommodation, the staff were possibly the most friendly and helpful (went out of their way to help) of anywhere I have stayed. The hotel itself was faultless. Not all the channels were accessible on their Foxtel. Apartment not checked for next guests, things like remote for TV not working, no room directory, oven tray left unwashed. No mattress cover on beds, all things put right when mentioned to reception. Poor water pressure in shower & toilet. No negatives:). There was nothing. Insufficient crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, eg only 3 coffee cups and one glass tumbler. Many things missing. I feel sure however that had we raised this with the staff they would have fixed the problem swiftly - we didn't dine in at all so it was only a minor issue for us. Mattress needed updating, too soft. Nothing. access from carpark to reception entails steps with one's luggage and heavy doors (security) security key, while good is difficult with keys/luggage/doors/lifts. Beds weren't very comfortable. Shower pressure was very low. TV was quite small and not positioned for ease of viewing. Shared entry door with adjoining room meant that entry & exit from adjoining unit was noisy and intrusive. The lounge room had 2 very uncomfortable chairs and no lounge so we had to watch tv in the room. No wifi included in the stay. It is too much to expect patrons to pay more on top of the cost of staying. Wifi in the rooms should be included. A few niggly things only. The blind in the room did not work. The cover on the air conditioner control panel kept popping off every time I was trying to get the blinds to do there thing. The tap in the bathroom was totally wobbly and hard to contol water temp and flow. expensive internet. Lifts need a swipe tag to use which was not properly explained on check in. Not enough coat hangers No spare blanket. The doors out of the car park were hard when you have bags with you. Just a tad bit away from the city and hard to take our shopping back to the room before heading out again but that was our choice. Dishwasher was broken, but since we stayed only 1 night it was not really a problem. No pool or spa facilities. The glass shower screen design meant that I flooded the bathroom floor! (Minor quibble really.). Didn't like the two single arm chairs, we needed a couch. And the sensor light woke us up during the night. Nothing really though I think I might stay a little closer to the South Yarra end of Chapel Street where there are more shops and restaurants, depending on price. A bit too far to walk to St Kilda. The lift was out of order for over a day. I think too long for a building that accommodates tourists of all ages. No couch. Two single chairs is not homey or comfortable for relaxing in the evening. Was expecting free Internet. The noise from the road & the other guests arriving back late at night & the smell of smoke in the room which was a non smoking room. Only 3 plates for 2 people 2 meals, no plug to wash up, only de-caf coffee. These are not complaints, just tips. Nothing. Nothing really -have stayed here before so new what was available. The trek to and from the secure parking and slow 'industrial' lift used by Aldi supermarkets. Switching from one block to another confusing. Road noise a bit annoying. tv needs updating noisy on ground level. I thought it was pretty dear for what we had. The television and shower were poor. having no room for my walking aids the first night. Nothing.
