Being right next to the mall it is an excellent location and a short stroll to just about everything: shops, tourist information centre, bus exchange, supermarket, harbour foreshore, ferry piers, restaurants, art gallery, Salamanca Markets - all within a five minute walk. The hotel room was spacious and modern, and the range of breakfast options (included with room) is extensive, professional and delicious.
όλα τα σχόλια » We were pleasantly surprised by the Central Cafe Bar. The accommodation was very clean, modern, well equipped, comfortable and,despite being above a bar, it was quiet. The cooked breakfast, which was included in the price, made this a very good value option. Staffs are kind. There's very little to complain about here. Even though the rooms are above a pub, the hotel part is totally separate and no noise comes from downstairs. However, even though the pub closes at 10pm, one night there was music playing out in the beer garden until 12:25am which was disruptive to sleep before an early flight the next morning. Maybe that was just a one-off oversight though. Nothing. Nothing - although if you feel you may be a tad disconcerted by the sight of miscellaneous locals coming into the bar and ordering a cold beer at 7.30 in the morning, then drinking it as you eat your breakfast, then this may not be the place for you. Obviously broken shower door handle. Cheap quality toilet paper. Annoying sound of pedestrian crossing beeping throughout night. Noise from early morning garbage collection. Very restricted breakfast selection. The door I was tricky !!. There are just 2 TV channels. (do not know why they are not connect it to a satellite properly. No lift, if you arrived with a big suitcase, you have to carry it up to your room on 2nd floor. The tap came off in the shower, was able to get it back on. The room was clean at the day of arrival but then there was no cleaning at all during the next two days. a bit noisy up till 11pm one night, from the DJ downstairs, but once he shut down, it was a peacefull night. We didn't get our cooked breakfast on the first day. The manager was less than helpful and hardly ever around. I'm still waiting to be reimbursed for my breakfast. A good option if you are happy to take your chances on breakfast (maybe no breakfast on public holidays?) Also a bit noisy from the outside bar. Noise from gaming bar and also from early morning refuse collection and local deliveries. Room was a tad small. Photos misleading. Tried to contact by email with a question several times and never got a reply. Reception difficult to work out, located at the back of the main bar of a pub. The shower was way too small. Nothing I disliked really. A bit noisy on weekend nights as it is a pub. Music went a bit late on Saturday evening. No complaints at all. 1. No parking available, a feature of your location but it would be worth considering some options with local carpark facilities. 2. No wifi! Easy to fix and increasingly essential for travel. The pillows had that 'old' smell to them. Shower very small. The booking confirmation said check in untill 9 p.m, but when I arrived at 8.30 doors were already closed. The guy was shutting the place down and wasn't too friendly as I arrived so late (althought I had send them a message, which I never got replied). Breakfast quite poor, only 1 dish from the menu, with coffee or tea, no juice or water etc. Would not go back. No off road parking if you hire a car, like we did. No lift for people to acces first floor who can not manage stairs very well. Car parking would be an advantage. Microwave would be good. It was a bit noisy - not from the bar area, but an adjacent area (? for smoking). no parking. Parking space are limited.
