  Hotel had a more personable feeling about it - some of the larger hotels are so impersonal. Staff were extremely friendly and greeted you upon arrival and departure. Staff were very responsive. The location is extremely good - quiet and within walking distance to many of the tourist sites. The service is superb and the staff courteous and polite. The dining experience is fabulous, and the chicken curry (ask for the white meat to be changed for dark meat) is divine. Room service is rapid, with the slowest delivery being 32 minutes - that would be extremely fast for most 5 star hotels that I have stayed in.

  Trotz der Lage zu einer viel befahrenen Straße ist das Hotel ruhig (gute Schallisolierung). Unser Zimmer lag zum Hof und hatte einen schönen Blick auf die Skyline von SF. Das Zimmer ist sauber, Frühstück ist gut und das Hotel hat eine schöne stillvolle Atmosphäre. Getränke, Gebäck und Früchte liegen immer im Aufenthaltsraum bereit. Great breakfast everyday plus snacks to come home to. Very convenient public transport outside the door. - This hotel was a great find! Quiet and very charming. Upgraded but keeps the Victorian atmosphere. Took taxi to downtown.
