Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.

We loved that we were not only steps away from our own little private beach, but also a half-block walk to a larger public beach. The rooms are modern and very nicely decorated. Everything was clean and crisp. The beds were soooo comfortable, therefore a great night sleep!!! Do to the rainy weather, we were not able to enjoy the pool (that looked cleaned and welcoming), fire and private beach across the street. The staff were very nice and attentive. There was no odor in room (no mold, no smoke, etc.). Looking forward to staying there again!!!

very clean kept up facilities, friendly staff, pool right by the water, heard from a staff member they donate certain electrical items and grills to charities so their offerings are always new! Plenty of closet/storage space. Again, VERY clean!!! VERY helpful and accommodating staff!!!
