  We stayed at Four Points for 4 nights, once we landed in Newark Airport we caught the bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal (Newark Airport Express Bus), the price was $28 each return, or $16 each way. The Four Points hotel is located right next to the bus station (the bus stops on 42nd St – but at the back of the bus station is 40th St where the hot... was die leute sagen » el is), the bus pickup point back to the airport is on 41st St. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in, but they let us leave all our cases and bags - The staff was amazing especially Kathia and Mohammed. Kathia was the young lady that checked us in and she was very helpful as well as kind and considerate. Mohammed was one of the gentlemen in the lobby. He stored our luggage so we could go ahead and go site-seeing while we waited on our room. When the room was ready Kathia was very quick to finish the paperwork and get us checked in. Instead of waiting for our luggage, Mohammed told us to go on up to the room and he would bring it up for us.

  Für New Yorker Verhältnisse fanden wir das Hotel sehr günstig! Die Zimmer waren relativ groß, ruhig gelegen und sehr sauber! Der Service an der Rezeption war ausgesprochen gut.   Our contact Svetlana was extremely helpful when we needed an extra room to accommodate another guest in our party and she rearranged bookings to allow us all to be in adjacent rooms which was greatly appreciated. The train station is very close, and the local grocery store is only around the block. It's not the wealthiest area, but it's obviously a family area. I was immensely impressed with the chap who carried my heavy bag up - This is a good alternative to staying in downtown Manhattan. Coming from a small UK town the area was a bit of a culture shock. Spacious appartment with everything you need for a short stay. Subway stop just around the corner so easy to get downtown in 15 to 20 mins. You can also walk to the Guggenheim in a similar time. A couple of nice restaurants nearby and a supermarket if you want to eat in.
