Was die Leute sagen
I booked a queen single room to share the evenings with a girlfriend.
Place was not the easiest to find and from the outside really did not
look great. However, inside was clean and quiet. Staff are not around
much and I didn't mind. I was very happy with my private room as it
was clean, quiet and comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was a plus.
I liked: how close it was to the metro lines, Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizzas, a few minutes in metro to Time Square and Canal Street, and how decent and honest the cleaning girl was. I also liked how clean the whole place was especially the share bathrooms. Keep up with the good job. I love it.alle bewertungen »
Cheapest hotel found, all hotel and hostel are expensive in nyc and this
is one of the cheapest we stay in 203 really clean room, the shared
kitchen and the shared bathroom are also really clean.
Excellent price/quality
Close to one of the main metro lines (2 mins walk).
Friendly atmosphere in the neighbourhood.
The room was clean, the hotel is situated 2 minutes walking from the subway station which made it easy to find.
Easy, quick, and rather cheap.
Clean accommodation which we shopped around to get, could not fault the
cleanliness.
20 minutes from 116th street subway station. 20 minutes to time square, 10 minutes to Yankee Stadium.
Kitchen facilities are very good and fairly new.
Close to many take aways etc
The price is the biggest positive. Any negatives were put to the back of our minds because at the end of the day we got a double private room next door to a subway station in NYC for around $120 a night.
The rostel is very clean, is like 10 min away (on foot) from the edge of
Central Park. The room is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well
equipped. Nice local shops nearby. And easy access to bus and
underground (I found it better to take bus to and from lower Manhattan
instead of the subway). The room was tidy and clean, and the staff allowed us to check in early to store our luggage.
price performance ratio is OK. Room is clean. near subway station.
Near subway
Rooms cleaned regularly
Locking rooms, fairly secure.
Chair would be nice.
Nothing.
At two in the morning a white guy in Harlem with a dead phone and no
idea what my pass code was (I had had a few drinks) I was stuck. There
needs to be a buzzer outside or at least a phone number for forgetful
people like me. Fortunately the dudes from the Dominos across the road
allowed me to use their phone and I was able to retreave my forgotten 3
digit code to enter Rostel.
That some people do not respect that others are sleeping after along day in the city working and walking.
There should be signs in the rooms and corridors enforcing people to keep it quiet for respect to other travelers. People should not slam the doors in small economic hotels.
not enough rooms! i wanted to stay longer.
Biggest negative was no elevator. Coming all the way from Australia we
had a lot of luggage, having to take it all up 2 flights of narrow steep
stairs wasnt easy.
No reception, when you arrive you have to phone the office for the code to access your key via a lock. Its an ok system but it would be nice to have contact with someone.
Bed a very poor quality. Can feel springs digging into your body while you lay.
Eventhough was the cheapest htl I could find available in Upper
Manhattan, it is very expensive and the area of East Harlem is a bit
awkward and seams quite dangerous, although no one ever disturbed me.The location of the hotel was horrible and unmarked, making it very difficult to find (as a tourist, with luggage). We could not have found the location at all, had we not been able to use our cell phone to call and ask (not ideal for an international traveler). The location was also dangerous for simply coming back after dark (given our skin color and clearly looking not from the area), as well as leaving very early to catch a morning plane. .
shared bathroom.
hotel surrounding environment is just OK.
air conditioner is noisy.
There were no staff to interact with, this immediately unsettled us.
No air con in the main area
Bathrooms could have been cleaner
Not in a brilliant area although not far from the subway so using an unlimited metrocard is essential.
Ad Pictures on letsbookhotel.com were intend to misslead the guests. "Hotel hell" share same toillet, shower, must carry luggages to 4 floors. Horrible experience. We stay in hotels in country vietnam, lao, cambodia, ...these undevelop country do not even have this type of hotel. And we are in NY !!!.
Location, facilities.
