The location is outside the French Quarter but close enought to walk. It is on the cablecar line to the Garden District and Audubon Park. We also loved that breakfast and was served Monday each morning, and dinner was served Monday thru Thursday for free, with very good hot and enjoyable meals. This was one of my best stay at any hotel and I have stayed at many hotels. Management did an awesome job in choosing these employees. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff at the front desk where awesome, so very frie - This place looked little tired but the rooms were large, very clean,really great location with lots of eating places near by also street car straight across road and the staff very very helpful. The only negative was that we stayed the weekend of Jazz Festival and the room price nearly doubled but we would certainly stay there again loved it

  I loved everything about the Blake Hotel. The staff was fantastic. My room was very comfortable and I felt very safe in this location. It has an onsite restaurant that serves good food and it is very close to the French Quarter, Canal Street shopping, the St Charles St trolley and only a 10 minute brisk walk to Cafe du Monde. The location was perfect for us - a short walk from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, but far enough away that it was quiet at night. Also loved the restaurant downstairs for a quick, convenient meal when we didn't have time to stop elsewhere. Our hotel room was clean and nicely decorated. I read other reviews that said the rooms weren't nice, but ours was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

  The hotel was very convenient for visiting the city. The trolley stop is only a short walk. The hotel is an old New Orleans house and very atmospheric. Much nice than an anonymous chain hotel as long as you don't expect the same facilities. It's a bit like staying in someone's house.   Thw location is perfect. We walked uptown, downtown, to the arena for a eric clapton concert. We parked the car and never had to use it. We walked back from Boubon st at 1:30 in the morning it was safe and an easy walk. The hotel was very quiet, and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our ten day trip staying at high end hotels. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job the room sme - What made this place stand out from the other hotels was the staff. They are very friendly and comply to every request of the guest. I have stayed in many hotels and this hotel by far has the best front desk service. I also like all the amenities that are located in the room which include a refrigerator and a microwave. In my opinion those are essential needs of a traveler.
